I've Been Robbed!!!

On the ferry over to the pirate island, someone tried to steal my camera from my purse! The pickpocket just walked up to me and started going through my things. I said "Excuse me...can I help you?". He insisted that he was just wondering what kind of interesting "loot" I was carrying with me. I told him that the only thing he could have from my purse was a tic-tac, which he responded to with "What are you implying?". I was able to catch a picture of the culprit! He's the one with the long dreadlocks.

Unfortunately, I also lost some other precious cargo to the pirates. They were recruiting young lads to join their crew and I'm afraid they captured all my boys!

DISNEYLAND!!!!

My husband is so buff.
I went to have tea at Minnie's house, but I guess she was busy
taking pictures with all the little kiddies.

Note: The sign says "You May Get Wet!". This is a gross understatement.

Happy Birthday Cory!!!

Cory turned 25 while we were in Disneyland (He's an old man now). We celebrated by having dinner at the ESPN Sports Grill in Downtown Disney.

The Sports Grill broadcasts sports games on their outdoor t.v.

so you can watch while you're waiting to be sat.

They even have t.v.'s in the bathroom! They don't

want you to miss a second!

Cory and I sharing a milkshake. I think I had the best hamburger of my life at this meal.

Maggie had to sit in the middle of the table so she could

reach everybody's food and have a little taste of everything.

Yum! Carrot Cake - Cory's favorite

Happy Birthday Cory!

After dinner, we ended the birthday celebration by having a dance party in the streets of Downtown Disney.

Isaac is the dance party guru. He showed us all his moves. This video is of his "signature" move called "The Isaac".

A Day at the Beach

On Saturday, we all decided to go to the beach. It was probably the most beautiful, relaxing day at the beach I've ever had. The weather was perfect and the waves were awesome. I learned to boogie-board for the first time! Now, you may ask "Where are the sweet pictures of Katie's moves on the boogie-board?" I would like to know that also. But here are some of the pictures we did capture.Mom and Dad enjoying the sun together
Cute Cory!
The waves were great!
Jason rented a Nerf football and we all played catch
for quite awhile. We all got really into it, including
mom, who is seen tackling dad. Nice form, mom!
I think she's ready for the big leagues.

California or Bust!

Well, after waking early and making everyone carsick on the way to the airport, we are finally on our way to California! As you can see, some of us are wide awake ready to go, some of us are sleepy yet excited.

Sunshine-y California!!

"To all who come to this happy place - Welcome!"

In the words of Walt Disney himself, Cory and I are making our way to that happy place! I love Disneyland. We are going with my family - However Josh and Liz and kids will be sadly missed. We'll think of you as we bite into our first churro.

Ode to Haagen Dazs

So for those of you who remember the good ol' days of My Girl, Vada writes a poem called "Ode to Ice Cream". Well this isn't a poem, but this is my ode to the best ice cream ever. Cory and I discovered it one night on a late night trip to Smith's Marketplace. It's called Banana Split and it is delish! I highly recommend it. 1/2 cup won't be enough!
