Belated Tag

So, my sis-in-law Laura tagged me on Halloween, and I'm am (sadly) just noticing it. Once again, I don't check my blog very often - sorry :(
But here I am now. And these are seven random/weird facts about me.

1. I don't really like chocolate chip cookies. Once, when telling this to a friend, they said "What?! How can you be an American and not like chocolate chip cookies?" But it's true. I love the cookie part, but if chocolate chips disappeared from the earth...I don't think I'd be too sad about it. I once found a recipe in the children's friend called "Chocolate-chipless cookies" - they were good. And it goes to show that someone else is just as crazy as I am.

2. This is embarassing to admit, but when I use a public bathroom, I have to tear off the first square of toilet paper and throw it away. I know, I'm paranoid - but someone else has touched that square and I don't really want to use it.

3. I never paint my fingernails. I think it looks good on other people, but it's too much work for me because it won't stay looking nice. In a few days, it will chip and crack and peel, so it's just not worth it to me. Toenails, are a different story - I love pedicures!

4. Holidays are my favorite thing ever! I love every holiday and I think it's because of traditions. Each holiday, I have a tradition to look forward to. For example, on Halloween, I have to have chilli with Fritos in it for dinner and hot apple cider with cherries bobbing in it. It's just tradition!

5. I get very motion sick. It's sad but true. I have many embarassing stories that could fill hours with laughter at my weak stomach. It's a good thing Cory is so sweet - since we've been married we've been on a plane four times - and despite the events that took place, he still loves me :)

6. I hate t.v. Sure, I have my shows that I love to watch every now and then, but I hate commercials and I feel like the way t.v. is nowadays, you never know what is going to enter your home. On the flipside of that, I'm a movie junkie. I could watch movies all the time and never get sick of it. I realize, this can be a waste of time, so I try to restrain...but I don't try very hard.

7. The majority of my wardrobe is black - I don't know what it is about the color, but I'm always attracted to the black anything in stores. I'm trying to add some variety to my closet, but more than half of it is black. I just think black looks good.

Sorry I'm Lame

So many of you look at my blog and think..."Man, is she ever going to make a new post?"
Well don't lose sleep over it, but I can't post for two main reasons:
1. We don't have the internet, so it is a rare occasion when I get on to post
2. I lost the cord that hooks my camera up to the computer, so I can't load any pictures.
I promise when I find the resources I need, I will make it up to you all :) hahaha

Commend him for his bravery....

Cory and I decided to save some money by having me cut his hair. What a brave soul. I've never cut hair before (that I can remember). So it was an adventure and it took a long time. I was very careful and took my time. However right at the end, my hand sort of...slipped. And, we ended up just buzzing it really short. But what a credit to my husband who didn't yell or complain but just laughed and said I did a great job. What a nice guy. :)

A Celebration at Home

Cory and I celebrated his birthday when we got home from Disneyland by having his favorite dinner (salmon), eating fruit pizza, and watching The Jungle Book, a Disney classic.

All Good Things...

Well, sadly the vacation must come to an end. Those of you who took this virtual trip with me were probably glad to see the pictures end...but what can I say. We had so much fun!

My Childhood Dream Come True

Ever since I was a little girl, I had this (unrealistic) dream of working as an artist for Disney Studios. Well, my dream came true!!! There's a class you can take in Disneyland where they teach you how to sketch characters. I think I attended the class about five times. It was the highlight of the trip for me. FUN!

Turkey Leg Forever

Okay, so purhaps the best part of the trip was our little discovery of the Turkey Leg Stand. Since Cory and I were trying to save money on the trip, I was always on the lookout for cheap food in/out of the park. While strolling along one day, I saw a vendor by Sleeping Beauty's castle. Now this vendor wasn't selling churros, ice cream or popcorn, but to my surprise, I saw on the sign:

Chimchangas....$5.00

Turkey Legs.....$6.00

Random...but okay....I'll take it! So Cami, Jordan, Cory and I feasted that night upon Turkey Legs and Chimichangas. A stray cat came to dine with us, and we ended up dripping turkey grease all over us, but hey...it was memorable.
